Singer songwriter looking for a strong producer to collaborate on a cover version of Maren Morris’ song “The Bones."
Looking to take the pop/country original and move it in a more spare, lightly electronic direction. A possible direction as far as instrumentation could be Pia Mia’s cover version of Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home”- piano and vocals-driven with light electronic/beat driven elements on the refrain- link in audio brief. *I am open to other takes on the song, this is just a suggestion*
Currently the vocals are recorded at the same BPM as the original (77 BPM), with the same key- Bm- chords can be found online. Probably would keep at same tempo, but open to changing if it benefits the feel of the cover.
Want to work with someone willing to take as much time as needed to have a final version we are both totally happy with. Goal is to submit to cover placement opportunities as available, as well as online platforms (spotify, youtube, etc.) as part of a 4 or 5 song release with some original songs. Any royalties earned would be split 40/60, as noted. Streaming/mechanical cover rights will be purchased as needed.
