This demo's working title is Too Soon (138 BPM, E Major) and I'm already working with an established label on the contract and release. We have the time to work on this, though, and we plan on releasing multiple versions (vocal, instrumental, extended, radio, etc). We're in the realm of Beatport Trance Top 100!
That means that we have the possibility to work together to find an arrangement that's more-suited for vocals, if we need to! This demo should be a general guide for the vibe.
I'm looking for emotional lyrics and performance; in my mind it represents dealing with loss, but I am open to any interpretations.
Basically, 16-bar phrases will work the best, and the general areas for them are:
* Intro/Verse = 3x 16-bar phrases from 0:55 to 2:19
* Breakdown/Bridge = 3x 16-bar phrases from 2:26 to 3:49
* Drop/Chorus = 3x 16-bar phrases from 4:45 to 6:08
We don't necessarily have to fill all of that with vocals, but we wouldn't add them anywhere else (except perhaps with ad-libs). For all of them, the chord progression is essentially the same.
If you're unfamiliar with Trance, that's ok! This is not exactly a cookie-cutter song, but I wanted to provide some examples of recent Vocal Trance hits anyway:
