For this track, I’m looking for a female vocalist whose ideal range is high and whose voice is silky and smooth. While the sample uploaded to this gig is not the entire track, it will be the extent of the range for your vocals. That’s because I intend to involve a male rapper in the middle of the track, but I’d like the female vocalist to first set the lyrical content and tone for the male rapper to then build upon in the bridge/second verse.
About my sound:
The genres I draw influence from include glitch hop, neurofunk, nu disco, hip-hop, rock, ambient, dubstep, jazz, and electronica. My artistic influences include Tycho, Shpongle, Pretty Lights, Glitch Mob, Aphex Twin, Seven Lions & Poolside, among others with similar sounds. If you haven’t heard their sounds, I suggest you do!

1) The tentative title for this song is “Lost Cause”. As such, I would prefer lyrics with a dual theme of melancholy yet an undertone of redemption or “letting go”. There’s no need to use those exact words when composing your lyrics. If you find it difficult to write in accordance with that theme, you’re free to offer a new direction, though I reserve the right to have the final say.
2) Though not necessary, a good starting point would be to synchronize your vocals to the muted trumpet.
3) I also ask that you please submit both the acapella and the combined vocal/instrumental .mp3 file once completed.
Finally, since this track is part of an upcoming album, your name will be featured in the title of the release. If you’re okay with these specifications, feel free to place your bid. I look forward to hearing what you’ve got!
