Female Vocals Needed for Neuro Funky Nu Disco Track

Hi everyone,

For this track, I’m looking for a female vocalist to provide a powerful intro to the build. While the sample uploaded to this gig is not the entire track, it will likely be the extent of the range for your vocals. That’s because I intend to involve a male rapper in the middle of the track, but I’d like the female vocalist to first set the lyrical content and tone for the male rapper to then build upon in the bridge/second verse.

About my sound:

The genres I draw influence from include glitch hop, neurofunk, nu disco, hip-hop, rock, ambient, dubstep, jazz, and electronica. My artistic influences include Tycho, Shpongle, Pretty Lights, Glitch Mob, Aphex Twin, Seven Lions & Poolside, among others with similar sounds. If you haven’t heard their sounds, I suggest you do!

If you’re interested in submitting a sample/demo for this track, please read the specifications below before submitting:

1) From 0:00 – 0:18 is a brief intro to the melody without percussion. I’m not certain whether I want any lyrics here, but you’re free to at least ad lib during this time slot.

2) From 0:19 – 0:47 is when the beat drops. I may reserve this slot for the male rapper but feel free to start here or wait until the build.

3) From 0:48 – 1:26 is the build. Female vocals will need to occur here regardless if you chose to start here or not. Here especially, don’t be afraid to display your talent ( your vocal range, sustain, etc.)

4) Ignore 1:26 to the end of the sample. The delay effect I have on the guitar elongated the file. That’ll be sorted in the final version.

5) Though I haven’t uploaded the whole song, this tune is meant to be uplifting. The rest of the track will be quite powerful in its melody and percussion, so I need an equally powerful introduction.

6) I have no guidance or suggestions for lyrical themes or tone. You have nearly full creative control in terms of the lyrical content; if the lyrics are positive and they flow well, all should be fine with me.

7) In terms of the amount of lyrics themselves, for me the ideal amount would be at least several bars and not just a few words.

8) As I have mentioned before in the recent other gigs I’ve posted, please disregard the poor audio quality of the .mp3 (especially the percussion). Rest assured, the final product will be much better.
