Hi everyone,
This will be the penultimate gig I upload for my upcoming album. For this track, I’m looking for a female vocalist for the intro and bridge. Once again, I’d like the female vocalist to inspire the male rapper I want in the verse. I have vocal samples already in the file, and I intend for them to remain in the final version. More on this later.
About my sound:
The genres I draw influence from include glitch hop, neurofunk, nu disco, hip-hop, rock, ambient, dubstep, jazz, and electronica. My artistic influences include Tycho, Shpongle, Pretty Lights, Glitch Mob, Aphex Twin, Seven Lions & Poolside, among others with similar sounds. If you haven’t heard their sounds, I suggest you do!
If you’re interested in submitting a sample/demo for this track, please read the specifications below before submitting:
1) From 0:00 – 0:42 is the first build/intro. As mentioned previously, there’s a vocal sample already here and, as of now, I’m firmly committed to keep it as is. So, try and harmonize your own melody with it.
2) From 0:42 to the end of the sample is the second build. Please note that the verse for the male rapper will occur between the first two builds in this file, even though the verse itself is not present. You’ll note this section is very similar to the first build; the main difference is the inclusion of a xylophone track. As such, your vocals can also be identical to the ones you’d have in the first build. However, preference will be given to those who show a little more versatility in terms of lyrical content.
3) As of now, the only vocal preference I’m after is one whose range is mezzo soprano/contralto/alto. Deep, resonating vocalists are desirable.
4) For the lyrical content, I would suggest a theme of deep introspection or reflection on a certain topic that evokes strong emotions ( nostalgia, longing, homesickness, etc). I realize this is very abstract and I wish I could offer more specifics but that’s the vibe this song gives me.
Finally, since this track is part of an upcoming album, your name will be featured in the title of the release. If you’re okay with these specifications, feel free to place your bid. I look forward to hearing what you’ve got!
