Hi everyone,

This will be the final gig I upload for my upcoming album. For this track, I’m looking for a male R&B artist to deliver powerful, soulful vocals in the build prior to the drop of the beat. Another male rapper has already submitted vocals but will not appear in the sample provided in this gig, though his lyrics will be provided to give you an idea on the theme of the song.

About my sound:

The genres I draw influence from include glitch hop, neurofunk, nu disco, hip-hop, rock, ambient, dubstep, jazz, and electronica. My artistic influences include Tycho, Shpongle, Pretty Lights, Glitch Mob, Aphex Twin, Seven Lions & Poolside, among others with similar sounds. If you haven’t heard their sounds, I suggest you do!

If you’re interested in submitting a sample/demo for this track, please read the specifications below before submitting:

1) Though the song already has lyrics from a separate vocalist with specific themes in mind, it is currently nameless, so feel free to name the song in alignment with the themes given by the other vocalist.

2) Its content involves the following themes:
A) Resilience and determination
B) Personal growth and success amidst adversity
C) Gratitude
D) Individuality and authenticity (marching to your own beat)
E) Spiritual metamorphosis* (this will be discussed later in point 4)

3) Your lyrics will come after the main verse. Here are the lead male’s lyrics prior to the build to the drop to help you:

4) This follows from point “E” in point 3. In the build, given the lack of percussion, the musical tone is meant to be highly introspective and even psychedelic, as if there’s some sudden epiphany of higher wisdom—like a light at the end of the tunnel—building to some imminent, overwhelmingly positive outcome that is within reach but still seems quite far, as if something is clinging and pulling onto you and keeping you from materializing the thing you’ve been working so hard to reap. Hence, the duality of individual conscience striving for success but also some subconscious inhibition holding you back, as if you’re your own worst enemy.

5) Ignore the guitar’s long delay at the end of the sample. That’ll will be sorted in the final version.

6) If you use effects, that’s fine. But I’ll also need the dry stems in addition to the wet ones.

7) Finally, since this track is part of an upcoming album, your name will be featured in the title of the release.
