Alessandro Benfante is a Music Producer from Sydney, Australia who produces under the name 'essan' (formerly known as exmosounds).

Since being a young kid, Alessandro always had a passion for music. Originally beginning as a DJ (DJ exmo), performing at house parties, etc, he later felt that he wanted to contribute to the Industry, and make music to feed his passion.

He later became 'exmosounds', the rookie music producer who later went on to chart #8 in TOP 100 Trance Releases and #27 in TOP 100 Progressive House Releases on Beatport during the release of his first ever EP 'Beginnings' with good friends Joey Shigrov and Melissa Pixel who were featured on the EP. This could only fuel his passion.

The 6 months following the success of his EP, Alessandro revised his work and focused on creating connections and bonds in the music industry that would last. 2 Months later came the free download 'Need You Now feat. Meron Ryan' which was a gift to the fans for their support. The following 4 months was a quiet time for Alessandro. The revision of his music and production style altered his mindset completely. He wanted to make music his way, unique to himself.

That history led to this day. exmosounds has become essan, hoping to create a new mark in the music industry that will last. A mark that he can call his own and not an imitation of another.
