Minister Michael Langford is a preacher/teacher and Singer of the word of God, and is a freelance voice over / voice talent, and singer-entertainer based in San Diego CA. Originally from St. Louis MO, Michael has been preaching since the age of 12.
Formerly managed by the late William Carvan "Pop's" Isles II, the co-founder and co-pioneer of the world renowned R&B group, the OJay's. Michael has shared the stage with the likes of the Stylistics, the Temptations, the Ohio Players, Gerald Albright, the Imperials, Walter Hawkins, Rev. James Cleveland, and the Winans just to name a few.
When it comes to singing, Michael has been singing and performing since the age of 5. He received his first paid gig at the age of 8. He has been stage mentored and vocal coached by the Dramatics, the Winans, Walter Hawkins, the O’Neal Twins, Shirley Caesar, Rance Allen, Russell Thompkins Jr. of the Stylistics, and the Imperials (again, just to name some).
Michael can deliver lead and background vocals respectively for most projects. Additionally, he can coach anyone that wants to learn how to address an audience, and how to work and master a stage. The genres that he has worked with include “Old-School-R&B”, Blues, Soul, Jazz, Soul-Gospel, Soul Gospel Quartet, Rock, Spirituals, Christian, and Contemporary Gospel.
Michael is a self-sufficient artist in various arenas ( voice talent, singing, and recording); and is capable of delivering the following voice talent styles…Narrations, Emcee, Announcements, Biography, Documentary, Car Spots, Infomercials, Christian Spoken Word, Children’s Books, Commercials, Political Spots, Character/Animation, Trailers, Corporate, Exercise/Inspiration, Educational, Warm and Friendly, Urban, and Film.
Michael is also autonomous as a recording studio engineer and can mix and master the work that he produces. He has his own professional recording studio; equipped with a vocal booth. Which gives him the liberty to work remotely and be of service to any client, be-it domestic and international.
