Ryan Leckie (born October 1, 1992) is an Australian singer/songwriter fom Perth, Western Australia (currently living in Melbourne, Victoria).
In 2005, Ryan (13) made his debut national performance on the popular TV show Australian Idol. Ryan entered the Junior Australian Idol competition. Thousands of contestants auditioned through their video submissions, and the top 13 from around Australia were selected to perform in front of the judges; Marcia Hines, Mark Holden and Kyle Sandilands. After hearing the 13 contestants, Ryan was crowned the winner of the singing competition and rewarded to sing at the Sydney Opera House in front of thousands of people at the 2005 Australian Idol Finale.
Since then, Ryan has continued to sing and mature his voice. Throughout his schooling years, Ryan was cast as a lead role in many musical theatre performances.
In 2008, Ryan began writing songs with John Meyer, who has been one of Australia's great guitarists for over 35 years, playing in Fatty Lumpkin, Chain and Rose Tattoo.
In 2012, Ryan started up his YouTube channel with cousin, Jace Leckie. Together they uploaded a number of cover songs and have had over 13,000 views.
In 2012, Ryan joined the cover band 'Envy', who performed every weekend at many popular clubs and pubs around Perth for two years.
In 2014, Ryan moved to Melbourne, where he is currently in the process of writing new original songs and continuing to follow his passion, music.
