Silvia Sprecacenere is an italian singer and songwriter, born in Rome in 1999. Prior to her academic path, she dedicated herself to studying the violin, piano, electric guitar, and singing, starting to perform live concerts from a young age.
In October 2024, she completed her Bachelor's degree in Songwriting (Popular Music track) at the Saint Louis College of Music in Rome, graduating with a grade of 110/110 cum laude. Additionally, in the summer of 2024, she attended the songwriting summer camp at ICMP in London. Throughout her studies, she worked with a wide repertoire spanning various genres within popular music, ranging from contemporary pop to blues and soul, which makes her highly versatile today.
Despite her stylistically diverse training, she now mainly focuses on rock, with influences ranging from pop-punk to metalcore. Since 2023, she has been the frontwoman and songwriter of the alternative rock band Quiet for a While, which has just released its debut EP, Until Now, on January 24, 2025. Additionally, the band has released an alternative rock version of Gayle's abcdefu on Spotify and two music videos on YouTube: one for the single Medicate and another for a live session of their third single Unknown, reworked into an acoustic version featuring vocals, piano, and strings. Furthermore, being part of a band and actively performing live has significantly contributed to improving and solidifying her stage presence.
As a songwriter, her greatest inspiration are artists such as Paramore, Nothing But Thieves, Jeff Buckley, Sleep Token. However she also likes to explore different genres. Prior to Quiet for a While she also collaborated with other italian artists as a songwriter, mainly focusing on writing lyrics in english or in spanish.
Also, she is currently working as a singing teacher, both privately and at music schools in Rome.
