David is is an Emmy-nominated composer and music producer whose eclectic, genre-bending approach to film and tv has led him to work with a broad assortment of some of the most unique artists in film and music. His score to BEL CANTO (starring Oscar-winner, Julianne Moore and Ken Watanabe) was directed by Oscar-nominee Paul Weitz (ABOUT A BOY) and featured the voice of opera star and five-time Grammy winner, Renee Fleming. He was commissioned for several works on Amazon’s hit series, MOZART IN THE JUNGLE (Sony Classical), Emmy-winner EPIC YELLOWSTONE (SMITHSONIAN) and multi-award winner, ANGEL OF NANJING (Dirs., Jordan Horowitz, Frank Ferendo), which Elle Magazine featured in their list of “25 Films Guaranteed To Make You Cry.”

David was nominated for an Emmy for his work on SINS OF MY FATHER (HBO), and scored a myriad of critically-acclaimed and award-winning films including THE LOVING STORY (Dir., Nancy Buirski for HBO), multi award-winner and audience favorite, HERB AND DOROTHY, (Independent Lens), DEEJ (Peabody Award-winner), YOUTH KNOWS NO PAIN (HBO), and SHENANDOAH (Netflix), directed by Pulitzer Prize-Winning photographer, David Turnley. His music has appeared in hundreds of TV projects over the years and he is honored to have had the opportunity to work with and for a myriad of diverse artists from Roman Polanski to Lou Reed.
